Samsung flaunts 12-megapixel Pixon 12

Just a few days after Sony unveiled the finished version of the Idou, now known as the Satio, Samsung has outed its very own 12 megapixel cameraphone called the Pixon 12.

The folks at Engadget have managed to get their hands on a nice stack of specs, and they'll do a lot to please mobile snappers.

Boasting a 3.1-inch AMOLED screen, the phone really puts an emphasis on photography, backing up the camera with a dedicated shutter button, touch auto-focus, 28mm wide angle lens and a Smart Auto mode that will adjust settings to suit your conditions.

You'll also be able to fire out snaps pretty quickly, with the ability to take your next shot just 2 seconds after your last one, as well as have your picture taking supported by a Xenon flash in low light.

Other specs include integrated Wi-fi, 3G, 150MB internal storage (expandable up to 16GB via MicroSD), GPS, FM radio and 720 x 480 video recording at 30fps.
